Jobs and Pastries
Current mood: anxious

As I was writing a friend who is about to leave for three weeks to India to help out a missionary couple who is on Furlough, an interesting analogy came to mind. And you all know how much I like to write them, lol.

You are a kid in a giant bakery. Your nose is pressed against the glass as your mouth is drooling at the very wonderful tasting pastries (job possibilities). Only you are down the line from the register. When you think you have picked out what you want, someone up ahead also picks it and gets to enjoy it. Be known to most of the people in the front of the line, the better pastries have yet to come out of the oven. I only wonder how much longer my job has to bake until its placed before me
.

A job possibility in LA fell through as someone else was more qualified for the position. My search continues every day and farther and farther as to what I will consider. Today, I found a place which is a lot like my old company but does more GD work for churches. They are located in Vancouver Washington, way farther then Los Angeles. Relocating that far away would mean be more complicated in the logistical sense, but I want God to use me where he wants me to be, and of course use my passions in ministry.

As much as it pains me to be where I am right now, our pain is seldom our own. Read the Story of Joseph to understand what I mean by that statement.

Have you seen this cat?
Current mood: nauseated

This faded orange tabby cat next to Josie is my first cat  ever. He is named Tigger and is old enough to  buy a beer being 21 years old. His hearing is just about gone, eyesight not the best, and he limps on his left leg after being attacked from a huskey back when I was in HS. You can't mistake this cat, and he likes to make himself known when he is unhappy or for the most part hungry!

He has been gone for about 2 days now. Normally he stays inside our kitchen or laying out in the sun on tha back patio. Or he comes crying adding special surround sound to your movie viewing experience. At this point, I wonder if I will be looking for a tired passed away cat. Or could some passer by think he was a stray and catnap him away to give some TLC? If you ever have been to my house, you have laughed, felt pitty and wondered if he should be put down all at the same time. Fact is, how can one put something that has lived this long, still can finish a whole can of cat food and loves the occasional scratch on the side of the head?

If he has passed on to the big litter box in the sky, I will miss him dearly, but I will NOT miss the rock hard turds he would leave in my studio when he got out to roam around the house!

thoughts
Current mood: pleased

Just some things running through my grey matter of water and axons

Throwing pots and shooting people.......why do my artistic mediums have to be so violent?

The biggest robbers of all have to be Cingular Wireless charging us for an inactive phone line since December and "other" features we never asked for.

Hmmm, all you have to do is threaten a company about going to another carrier and they give you a "courtesy" 20 bucks!

Freeze pops, so yummy.....

Does anyone want to have a free queen sized bed located outside the front yard?

Boycot the Salvation Army. They think they are above many donations and charge the poor for items that you can buy new for less like appliances. Take things to Amvets or Goodwill.

It always feels good to take care of a monkey on your back......

Well I am done with all online personal sites.....My last expired today with CC....

Some of the strangest people from your past will find you on here and send you hate letters. I feel sorry for them.......

The sun 2, me 1. Got nailed again at the beach and this was even with sun block Woohoo for diagonal sunburn lines on legs. I am sure talented!

So there is a hidden way to reboot your iPod video.....

Getting wrong numbers from old philipino woman trying to make a doctors appointment......but the funniest was the one from the Vista jail house!

So what are your thoughts people, or those who are flies on the wall. Speak  up so I know  that you guys care about what I write

Good Times
Current mood: impressed

These last few days have been realyl good to me. This has been a nice break from the emotional hard stuff lately.

Friday

Most of the day was a wash, but I picked up some Pat and Oscars and my friend Ben drove to pick me up and we headed down to the Padres game. I had never been to new ball park, and I was impressed. Things are nothing like the giant home of Qualcom. Things had an intimate feeling to them. Either that, or it was because Ben scored free tickets sitting 17 rows from the 3rd base line. They were worth close to 50$ a seat. Hence the new layout of the pictures I took. So with some pasta, bread sticks and a free hat, we rooted for the home team as they won against the Florida Marlins 3 to 2.

Saturday

Some good friends of mine in the IE came out to visit me. We started things off with a mother daughter shoot. I loved one of them that turned out great with the new black backdrop. Then we went to Oceanside for some Ruby's on the Pier. It was such a nice day on the coast, with no June gloom. I made sure to be extra careful and smothered myself with some old camp block. Lots of girl time and fellowship happened. They were able to see the new livingroom, and were suprised at where I did my studio shots at.

Next Saturday night, I am hosting a movie night for friends from church. never had one before, so I hope it gets a good turn out!

I love.............
Current mood: accomplished

Thrift stores!

For some odd reason, I went to check out Amvets to see if they had any furniture or props for photo shoot stuff. Not the typical place one would think to look, but Im poor right now. Anyways, the first observation I made was the parking lot was more packed then a womans suit case. Lots of people were looking around, making it hard to get where I wanted to go. Then it hit me like no other! It smelled like butt. It wasn't until a few of the ladies who worked there went around with foo foo spray.

After looking at a few pieces of furniture, I found a steal. There was this upholstered rectangale/cut off triangle bench with a rott iron base that was perfect size. It is long enough to sit 3 adults. The diamond padding fabric was anugly golden brown, but only ade a few light pain smears on it. I decided that I could just recover it. The cost of it was 24$ then add 12$ for 2 yards of remnent black velvet. With my trusty staple gun, I now have a great bench for photoshoots.

Never under estimate the power of the goodwill of other peoples clutter.

Pictures will follow with it being used!
